[ 02 · ABOUT ]

ABOUT ZIP MULTIPLE PDFS.

Sharing a handful of related PDFs — say, five separate invoices, or a set of reports — is more convenient as one bundled download than five individual save-file dialogs, and that's exactly what minipdftoosz's ZIP Multiple PDFs tool does: it takes any number of PDF files and packages them into a single .zip archive using JSZip, an open-source library that builds standard zip files entirely in JavaScript, right inside your browser tab.

The resulting .zip is a completely standard archive, openable with any zip utility on any operating system — nothing proprietary or specific to this tool is required to extract the files back out afterward. Each PDF is stored inside the archive with its original filename intact, so recipients see exactly the same filenames you had, in a single download instead of a scattered set of attachments or separate download links.

This is functionally the same zip-bundling step used behind the scenes by several other tools on this site — Split PDF and the PDF-to-image converters, for instance, automatically bundle their multi-file output into a zip for you — but exposed here as a standalone tool for the simpler case where you already have several separate PDF files (not generated by another tool here, just files you already have) and want to bundle them together without running them through any other processing step first.

A common use: gathering several related documents — supporting exhibits for a filing, a batch of scanned receipts, a set of reports for a single recipient — into one archive before sending, rather than making someone download five separate attachments individually from an email or file-sharing link.

If you're bundling files that already share a clear naming convention, double-check the archive after creation to confirm names came through as expected — particularly if any original filenames included unusual characters, which can occasionally render differently across different operating systems' zip utilities on the receiving end.

Anyone sending several related PDFs together — supporting documents for a filing, a batch of scanned receipts — uses ZIP Multiple PDFs to turn what would otherwise be several separate attachments into one clean, single download.

Because the archive is generated the moment you request it, there's no waiting on a server-side compression queue — even a fairly large batch of PDFs typically bundles into a downloadable zip within moments, limited mainly by how much data your device needs to read and repackage.

★ QUICK TIPS
  • The resulting zip is a completely standard archive format — no special software is needed to open it on the receiving end.
  • Original filenames are preserved inside the archive, so recipients see the same names you had.
  • If you're already using another tool that naturally produces multiple output files (like Split), it typically bundles into a zip automatically — this standalone tool is for files you already have separately.

Never. Everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly.
